The app
FeedSaver is a Windows app that runs on your own computer. It connects directly from your PC to Instagram to fetch the posts you ask for.
- You log in to Instagram in a window the app opens. Your password goes to Instagram, not to us. After you log in, FeedSaver keeps the login session in its data folder on your PC, so you don't have to log in every time. We never receive your password or your session.
- Your files stay on your PC. Photos, videos, caption files and the library are saved on your computer. We don't receive copies of them.
- What you save stays private. We don't collect the accounts you save, what you search for, or your library.
What the app does send
- Licence checks (only if you enter a key). Pro activates online, and the app then checks your licence with our payment provider's licence service. It normally re-checks about every 3 days while it can reach the internet, and Pro stays on for up to 14 days after the last successful check: if the app can't verify your licence for 14 days, Pro switches off until it can, while your saved files and library stay available. A check sends your licence key and an ID for this PC's activation, so a licence can be used on 2 PCs. It doesn't include anything about your Instagram account, your files or your library. The free version sends no licence checks unless you enter a key. A saved key may still be checked while the app runs as Free, for example after Pro has lapsed.
- Updates. FeedSaver may check for and download new versions. That request contains nothing about your Instagram account, your files or your library.
- Diagnostic logs, only if you choose. If something goes wrong, you can export a diagnostics file to your PC and choose to send it to us. It holds the app version, redacted settings states and a limited, cleaned-up log. It leaves out your Instagram login, licence key, captions and media. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
Buying Pro
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which sells FeedSaver as our reseller (Merchant of Record). Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, handles sales tax or VAT, and emails your receipt and licence key, under its own privacy policy. We receive what's needed to deliver and support your purchase, such as your name, email address, country and order details. We never receive your full card number.
This website
This site is a set of plain pages. It has no sign-up form, doesn't ask for your email address, and doesn't use cookies or analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you and to help with your purchase.
Your choices
You can delete everything FeedSaver has saved by deleting its folders and uninstalling the app. To ask what we hold about you from a purchase or an email, or to have it deleted, write to hello@feedsaver.app. You may also have rights under the privacy law where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
